Birth doulas scammed by social worker faking pregnancy/stillbirth in Ontario, Canada

I’ll preface this post by saying that I’m truly indifferent towards this so-called “scam,” and not morally opposed to what she’s doing, yet perhaps tickled by the fact that her behavior and ability to ‘fake’ every aspect of labor demonstrates how poorly-trained and absolutely incompetent doulas are. You know what leads to healthy, happy, LIVING babies? Trained medical professions, not a bored housewife with a certificate.

Now that we’ve established how little I care, I’d like to point out how absolutely ridiculous it is that while you’re acutely aware that this woman is likely a manipulative, attention-seeking liar, you still believe what she’s reported about her background, including her education and profession. She know she’s an unreliable narrator, yet you’re continuing to allow yourself to be scammed by placing any stock in what she says. Social media is not real life. If this woman is as prolific as you claim, and she’s adopted multiple aliases, the background information she plasters all over Facebook is likely untrue and only used to establish a false sense of legitimacy. A social worker who works with indigenous children sounds trustworthy until you discover that her behavior is incongruent with how she’s presented herself.

If you think anything she’s said regarding her employment is true, contact her licensing board, not Reddit. Rather than focusing on the internet—where the vast number of users will remain completely unaffected by this—consider concentrating your efforts where they may actually be impactful.
