Bit of a vent thread - The bosses in this game feel poorly designed.

I know all about that stuff, the mechanics aren't really what I'm having difficulty with. Like I said, when it comes to regular mobs, they're incredibly easy. I basically only die in a stage if I get over zealous and attack 1 time too many.

For the bosses, I figured out how to beat them, I just don't think they're designed well. Like you said, Nioh has so many more mechanics, but even the base combat is a lot faster than Dark Souls. Yet on every boss I have zero control, It's like we're playing Simon Says and I'm only allowed to attack when they say I can.

That's what frustrates me the most about the bosses. They have a lot of interesting move sets and interactions, like killing all the big spiders in the Spider Nest Castle removes the bosses leg armor, but every boss is basically design so that if you try and dodge around them they'll simply follow your moves instantly and start swiping away at you, forcing you to hit and run.
