And even with these "security measures" that seems pretty insecure. It sounds like they'd be setting them up for another scam. See, the first 6 digits of a card are unique to issuers. which means that hypothetically there aren't that many digits to brute force the card. Plus, plenty are bound to make a mistake and not cover anything.
