Bitwarden vs 1password for small team

Well if this works for your use case, if someone loses their master password what’s lost is only what’s in their private vault, organization is a separate vault completely managed by you(or whoever would be the admin) and you’d have access to create collections that only x person has access to and then facilitate a sort of private vault within the organization and if someone THEN lost password you can just remove their Bitwarden account from organization and add a new one they create. Not super ideal but that may be a solution if you feel you really need the ability to recover someone’s access

For 1password I can’t really speak to how their teams setup work and if they’d forget their master password in Bitwarden they’ll absolutely lose their secret key for 1password lol

For ui I’d say it’s preference, I very much like bitwardens ui over 1password but there are plenty who do indeed like 1passwords ui, where it may come to matter for a company teams setup is that 1password supports a lot more item formats in comparison, Bitwarden can facilitate the same in a sense but it feels like more for a power user/tech savvy person when comes to Bitwarden

Which brings up another point, since I don’t know your team or company if you feel the majority of your users are very tech savvy and power users like they know what Linux is at minimum lol and maybe also would know the basics of how to use a Linux pc, maybe even an LTS version not desktop then go for Bitwarden

HOWEVER if the following applies instead that your average team member only browses Facebook, instagram, ticktock, Twitter and what have you on their phone, uses windows and isn’t very tech savvy about PCs or phones and only know bare minimum of how to operate a windows pc then I’d say go for 1password cuz that’s what they were designed to cater towards and make easy to be used by such people

since a fear is that you’d need to pray hard that nobody fucks up and forgets their password I would assume they are NOT very tech savvy and would be Knowledgeable in good security and backup measures so I may have to suggest 1password for your team.

Very long post over but that’s all my opinion in the end I’m sure others may have other things to add lol
