Black Desert Publisher Threatens Credit Rating of Players That Chargeback

If you think any company doesn't keep information to connect a transaction with an account then you're hopelessly naive.

Yet /r/games will consider you naive to except companies to keep track of keys and transaction ID. It wasn't even a month ago that this sub was all in uproar about G2A and some indie company that went bankrupt because half the keys they sold got charged back.

Its fairly standard information on how chargebacks work. You could get the same information from any card provider or credit agency.

Let's say I tell you that if you fell down the stairs, you could get really hurt. You really don't want to be falling down stairs you know? Hell, you could even die if you fell down stairs! Maybe you'd get lucky, and only break a few limbs. You could get unlucky and by falling down the stairs, you'd break your spine!

This isn't a threat, it's only information about falling down stairs! Give this information a context, and it's most definitely a threat.

Paypal's Dispute system rules but I'd be utterly shocked if theres a rule against contacting the customer directly.

Contacting outside the dispute system is not discouraged, but any attempts to get the person to drop the charge back without solving the issue is illegal according to Paypal.

Intimidation is the act of causing fright or terror intentionally to coerce someone. If the thought of a chargeback being disputed terrifies you then you should probably not be doing chargebacks!

That comment is pure fallacy, you equate the threat to standard procedure. The entire point of charge back is as consumer protection.

This is hopelessly naive. Paypal will not make a judgement on whether something sounds like intimidation. Paypal is not a court, or a judge.

I think, here, you're the naive one. Paypal goes out of its way to protect their buyer vs merchants, even when specific criterias are met, they will go out of their way on many cases. If it were true, then all the scams that are pulled off on e-bay wouldn't get a refund.
