Black Lives Matter has increased racial tension, 55% say in UK poll

The NICRA definitely wasn't just a "show of representation". They were pushing against particular legislation and policy. Exactly what BLM isn't doing.

So as I say, unless we think those 64% are lying or misled, we have a problem with racism in this country

I wouldn't base the assertion that a whole country is "somewhat racist" on a survey of 1200 people. It's hardly surprising that BAME people feel this way when the narrative has been constantly telling them they're victims of systemic racism. My question to people is what would have to change in this country for it to considered not racist. At which point it becomes "viva la revolution" because no one has any idea how to define or solve the problem of racism.

For me it is, and given some of the recent comments by Greg Clarke you can see how that can be endemic and exclusionary.

I don't really see how an honest slip of the tongue can be considered exclusionary. I also don't really see how coloured/people of colour are meaningfully different in any way. Supposedly he's made other less than ideal comments, but I don't go out looking for this stuff.

Increasingly they do. Any perception of recognising the history of the Empire is seen as "hating England". You see it on here all the time.

I'm yet to find anyone denying the actual history of empire, I have seen a lot of people rejecting BLMs moral interpretation of it however.
