This really pisses me off. I was taken to the hospital after my ex kicked in a locked door and attacked me. The police escorted me back to the apartment from the ER, and when they were helping me out another cop car pulled up to the curb behind us to let my ex out. They told me that if I was nice they got assurances he would “leave me alone”.

They arrested, charged, and released him in under three hours. White 30 year old doctor.

Meanwhile I know someone who was arrested at a protest, held for almost 24hrs, and dropped off 30 miles north of where they’d been without their shoes. They took their mf shoes.

Honestly can’t imagine calling the cops for help unless I happened upon someone who was already dead.
