Black tourguide calls out the crowd planning to tear down the Emancipation Memorial in DC for not understanding its history

It has nothing to do with defending Lincoln, we all know he didn't care for colored people. That has nothing do with the notion of the statue. It might have what some would see as a racist depiction, given that it's a black man kneeling in front of Lincoln, but that's not the context of the statue or what it means, nor has anyone ever called Lincoln a King or similar, or used it as a way to push "White Supremacy" or otherwise.

I'm all for tearing down Lincoln's statues if that's what people want, he doesn't deserve anything if you ask me, he pushed for a war, and handled it terribly.

That's not what all this is about, it's about people picking various parts of history and all trying to rewrite the meaning of events and statues. Everything has context, it's not black or white, cartoonishly evil or good.
