To Blacklist or Not to Blacklist

I am all for transparency -- However, it is never a fair argument to post a reader's evaluation out of context to make the case "To Black List or Not to Black List" no matter the intention. I recommend anyone interested in what the Black List has to offer to read this first: https://blcklst.com/help/category/12

Frustrations with evaluations are totally understandable, and all humans make errors. But a lot of writers get caught up in the feeling that "they're being screwed by pay-for-play" when actually, the Black List is literally showing you what you are up against. Some scripts that achieve an '8 or higher' are available to download. Read those scripts, and you'll get a better idea of how high the bar is set. There is some amazing work being done by up-and-coming screenwriters -- but that gulf from aspiring amateur to paid professional is vast and trying to get there is often heartbreaking.

Obviously, I can't speak completely to the intention behind the title of your post, and I mean no disrespect, but headlines can be inflammatory and people love to pile-on The Black List unfairly. That is why I suggest checking out their FAQ and encourage writers to know what they are paying for before they purchase hosting and evaluations.
