Blake Rasmussen - Monday B&R "will change the Companion mechanic"

It's pretty obvious Companions are revealed. Outside of your hand and deck, there is no secret information in MTG unless otherwise stated like on Morph. Coming up to a table and saying, 'I have a companion but you can't see it', is just not what comes to my mind.

It's not as egregious as some changes could be. But, I really do think changing rules like this is really bad. But, also, remember that we are only having this discussion because the mechanic broke a fundamental rule of the game. If the change needs to be extreme, then the discussions will be too. I'm sure they had nice discussions about all of this in WotC, I'd expect my opinion is not alone in the design offices of WotC.
