Blanket assistance

This was a good joke for an adorable video. But this video serves a better purpose than being cute: it’s an example of why you shouldn’t leave babies unsupervised around pets, especially when pets have easy access like jumping onto the couch/bed. A baby’s reflex to move their face or remove an object when they sense something blocking their breathing is not developed until at least 6mos, and the AAP cautions a whole year. There’s also some sad stories of cats curling on top of baby, suffocating them.

I don’t know what the dog’s motives were, but this is the third time this week I’ve seen a video of a dog covering a baby and I’d figure I’d share.
