Blizzard - You must control ranked match making better. It's awful.

This depends on what you mean and where you are taking the data from

If using in game ranking - you may be right.

If hotslogs data - no.

Why?

Your in game ranking doesn't matter. It's not a true rank. That's why the personal adjustment exists. A diamond level Elo player could absolutely lose all placement matches and receive bronze in game rank. Elo-wise they are diamond (or maybe plat with that many losses) and the game seeks to adjust then downward.

If using Hotslogs- no. Because it is using game data to generate an actual ranking, as much as possible, for a real, true ranked Elo.

Understand that in a solid ELO system, most of your players will be bronze, silver and gold. You then get fewer at plat, even less at diamond and then less at master / Gm.

By less I mean significantly less. And by better players we are talking about huge differences in play even from 2200 plat to 2300 diamond.

A 1500 gold with a 2400 diamond is a ridiculously different level of skill and play. You're putting something like an 80-90th percentile player with a 20th percentile player.

That's statistically nuts.
