We need more police training. Maybe we need to replace cops? Maybe we need to hire a committee to oversee police training and effectiveness? There are likely other needs. All of that costs $.

Defunding makes no sense, and will only make things worse.

We are going about things the wrong way. We need government job programs for the inner cities. No one will hire convicts. We need government job programs to give criminals way out.

We need government housing programs. When criminals are in transition to being good citizens, they could need cheaper housing when starting their new job.

We need more schools, better education and more after-school programs in the inner cities.

We also need a lot more done in the inner cities.

We need to end the viscous cycle of gang members, drug dealers, etc in the inner cities. If we don’t end the cycle, nothing will change.
