Bluey is 4! How has it impacted your life the most?

I think Bluey has the very special gift of creating compassion and empathy, both in kids and adults. I recently watched the episode “Bike” for the first time and, as an adult learning to ride a push bike, it really hit home. There are certain things that seem embarrassing not to know past a certain age and bike riding is most definitely one of them.

I have a car, it has gears, I understand how they work. WHY is it so much harder to use them on a bike? Bluey yelling out in frustration “Why can’t I be good at it straightaway!” when she was struggling with her bike was a literal light-bulb moment for me.

Everything that is easy now, was once hard. All of a sudden I remembered how terrified I was of having to stop at my first set of traffic lights when I first got my licence. What if I stalled and could never get my car started again, and ended up living at the traffic lights with cars beeping relentlessly behind me for the rest of my life??

I am a grown woman, but the lessons I’ve learned from this show have all been important ones that I’ve needed to hear at that specific moment.

Thank you <3
