I don’t really think the distinction between wearing it as “satire” and wearing it legitimately matters that much though. You’re still wearing pictures of hentai in public, I don’t think saying “haha I’m doing it because it’s weird, it’s all a joke!” really changes much. Performing something satirically after enough time just becomes performing it legitimately, it’s still gross.

I do think it says something about who you are because normal people don’t wake up and be like “I’m gonna go to school wearing pictures of porn”, I think that’s pretty telling of what kind of person they are, but maybe that’s just because I’ve never met a person who wore that stuff who wasn’t either a neckbeard or a an attention whore.
