Board Recommendations

What I would caution you about is going too drastic in terms of a change from what you're riding. When you go bigger and stiffer, you're definitely going to notice that the board is slower to initiate turns. Don't get an all-camber board, make sure there is some rocker in the nose and tail, which will quicken turn initiation. If it has some kind of edge tech, even more so, because the board will like to lock onto one edge rather than transition off it easily. Edge tech also messes with the smoothness of your carving a little bit because of the abrupt interruption of your sidecut, so make sure the edge tech is mellow rather than aggressive. I haven't ridden the Jones MT but the design seems to meet what I'm talking about.
