Say someone did want to ‘feed the hungry and comfort the poor’ First they would have to deal with dictators around the world, whose people live in poverty. If you send them supplies, the dictator’s army will come in and take the supplies. Charity is not that easy and I’m really just talking philosophically here. Yes the governments role is taking care of its people. Our government will not be that magical entity to use its resources to lift everyone up anytime soon. I see that sort of thing happening in 80 or so years once naked capitalism has truly and finally fallen on its ass. This inflation bubble may be our ticket to the New New Deal.
