1. Corvus was turning him into minced meat
2. Curze was spitting on him
3. If not for Angron he would have died to a Dreadnought and a bunch of Librarians
4. If not for Angron he would have died to RG
5. Gets humiliated by Horus so much one of his top commanders ( from the legion whose whole theme is unwavering loyalty ) decides to go with Horus.
6. Gets destroyed once more by Corvus inside the eye of terror ( so with home field advantage )
7. Hides in his room for 10k years because Corvus is waiting to finish the job

I would have commented how I would like Russ or Johnson to get their hands on him but to be honest that would such an overkill , it would be like professional fighters beating on a handicapped kid. It would just be a waste of a good wash cloth to wipe his blood of their swords.
