I know I’m going to get downvoted to shit for this..

But this is completely standard practice. Literally been doing this for decades. My S/O is Kuwaiti and every time they/their family travels back to the states they get detained for hours. Even the young sister who is an 18 y/o college student. Flying into D.C. or jfk or lax even.. they’ve held them until minutes before missing their flights, and Kuwait is an ally. This is still the shit they pull. Is anyone surprised they are ramping up harassment after the ongoing pissing contest between our governments? If they open up internment camps and hold them indefinitely, that’s obviously a new escalation, but holding them for 10 hours and not answering their questions? They do that shit routinely. I hope people start to speak out about this harassment so we can change our behavior as a nation, but I’m definitely not surprised.
