You are changing the goalposts because realistically you dislike me, I've obviously inflamed the debate by using the word disingenuous and I'm sorry about that.

The initial post I responded to was basically saying that it was stupid to have aspirations to be leaders in free trade by leaving the world's biggest "free trade area". I was providing reasons why that argument was a dodgy semantic one.

If the initial post said "haha yeah let's promote free trade by leaving an $18 trillion trading bloc and lose all of our economic clout" I wouldn't have had an issue with that.
