My go to spot for mindless farming was the turtles in the Hinterlands. Lots of vendor trash, skin, and the occasional golden pearl. While I was leveling, and a bit after I hit 60, it was pretty much completely empty.

Cut to about two months ago and the beach is being farmed by 2 blatant bots. We're talking getting stuck in water, jumping over a turtle corpse below them, trying to loot it type bots. At first, I was leaving them be. I could kill 3-4 turtles in the same amount of time it took one of them to kill one, so it was no trouble.

Another week would pass and a new bot. Eventually, there were at least 5 bots farming that beach at one time. It just got so bad that there was no flow to my farming, so I started killing them. I'd kill each of them a couple times, farm a little, and then a multi-boxer with 5 mages would show up and kill me with 5 simultaneous fireballs. After that happened about ten times, I gave up on that spot.

I ended up quitting the game, not solely because of that kind of stuff, but the horrendous amount of botting was something I mentioned in my reason for canceling my sub. It's definitely something that existed back in vanilla, I just don't remember it being quite so bad.
