i'm avoiding hondas for this reason, i make too many short trips in the winter and it won't even get up to temperature before i park it again and get out. too many people making excuses for this shit. no, i don't want to have to go drive for a half hour on the weekend to burn off accumulated fuel in my oil. no, i don't want to have to make trips longer than they need to be because honda designed a shitty motor. the issue is not just coming from people who idle it for too long, it comes from people who don't idle at all, and just have to make short trips in the cold. my state isn't even one of the "recall" states and it's happening here in the winter.
