Bourbon buying (and selling) ethics

Weller, all three of the labels, used to be available year round before the Pappy Jr. morons took hold and hyped run if the mill product to the moon.

It is very disappointing how much this applies to a large field of bourbon circa 2010ish. The whole Pappy line used to be available on my grocery's shelves (not even behind glass). I got a bottle of the 20 year old for $150 on a sleepy Sunday morning way back when just looking for something nice with no plan. The prices and exclusivity these days are nothing short of delusional.

Your advice is sound - if your favorite bottle from yesteryear is now commanding douchebag prices then wish it farewell, be thankful for the good times, and find a new favorite bottle that isn't for insane people chasing mediocrity.
