Box Office: ‘The Mummy’ With Tom Cruise Flops, ‘Wonder Woman’ Wins

I was just checking the boxofficemojo going through the weekend stats. Noticed, Beauty and the Beast (2017), Release Date: March 17, 2017.

Production Budget: $160 million

Domestic: $502,885,446 40.5%

  • Foreign: $739,071,127 59.5%

= Worldwide: $1,241,956,573

I was thinking.. WTF. Didn't they do these Beauty and the beast movies in the past. What's up with this one doing that well. The Harry Potter chick?

This sounds like those teen girls who get youtube pop videos their plays.

Meanwhile you get some other movies that flop. I thought that new Pirates not doing so well was meaning Depp is done.. but overseas it saved his ass.

Production Budget: $230 million

Domestic: $135,839,294 25.7%

  • Foreign: $392,927,980 74.3%

= Worldwide: $528,767,274

I think the US is a bit tired of him after the problems with Amber Heard. That was messy.

Then Cruise this weekend.. sounds like they're a bit tired of him too now in the US.

Production Budget: $125 million

Domestic: $32,246,120

But.. he salvaged it a bit overseas.

= Worldwide: $174,046,120

So they'll pay the bills on this one but you know how it goes when things "flop". They usually retire but Cruise seems to keep "cruising". What's he gonna do next.. I don't know, but the only thing consistent in all his films is, probably be lotsa running around in it.
