Because the original comment was about NYC being a gun free zone in addition to the school being a gun free zone. You know illustrating the absolute absurdity that this law can actually stop people from bringing in guns.
And I responded back by saying that just because they don't work 100% of the time doesn't mean they don't do anything. And I referenced the murder/assault/rape, just because a ban on guns in NYC doesn't stop everyone from doing it doesn't mean you should get rid of the law.

The discussion was based on a sarcastic comment about how a law didn't prevent a crime. I guess creating a law that says you shouldn't vandalize Government property doesn't do anything because people are going to do it anyways.

Can't articulate why people(adults) shouldn't be allowed to carry when on or near campuses nor can you articulate how it actually mitigates violent crimes. Just it is obvious we should have these laws for schools.
