A boycott on P&G is getting started over Gillette toxic masculinity ad campaign

“Toxic masculinity” is real and it’s not remotely the same thing as “masculinity is toxic” and it’s not an attack on men and anyone who doesn’t understand that is literally pretending not to understand how adjectives work.

In fact, the victims of toxic masculinity are often male. A dumb example - as a 14 year old child in high school sports I was told - by adult coaches, not just peers - to “sew it up” rather than take a break when I injured my ankle, and ended up exacerbating the injury and missing more time than I would’ve! Better example since the military is the only thing your type will treat with respect: wouldn’t it be great if less vets died homeless drug addicts because going to a therapist and admitting to needing help with PTSD is “for pussies”?
