He is not chained to me. After my release from the hospital, he spoke to me saying he would be willing to stay with me if we stopped fighting. I had already expected for us to be over when I left the hospital so I didn't ask him to stay or tell him to stay when I got back. He chose to stay by his own accord. He can dump me at any time he pleases, but he chooses not to.

Also, you didn't fully read my post. I have no friends, none at all, so I can't move in with them. I have no family other than my mother who is abusive. I went through a lot of trouble trying to escape her. I can't move in with her, and if I did I would be in worse condition than if I stayed with my boyfriend.
