people don't realize that as demographics change and whites move towards being a minority in terms of population, shit like this is going to increase and probably exponentially. that's how tribalism and power dynamics work. people who wouldn't have thought much of race in another context will suddenly feel like things are no longer 'in control' compared to the status quo they grew up with, and they will be pushed to the right. in the long term, the trump coalition will become a true white nationalist party. it's scary stuff but it's also straight up human nature, and we've seen it again and again in history. liberals need to wake up and realize that this is one of the unfortunate side effects of demographic change.
