The brain becomes 'unified' when hallucinating on LSD

That's the benefit of regulation - people know what they are getting, know how much they should take, and can do so safely.

Yes, some people will be irresponsible - like the tens of thousands of people in drunk driving accidents every year. There's really no argument for not regulating and selling these substances unless we're expected to believe that suddenly drug addiction would skyrocket.

Drugs like LSD can't be consumed daily anyway - other drugs like MDMA come with steep tolerance - so, again, difficult to do daily.

Sure there will still be heroin addicts, but it would be safer for them - which is a good thing. They're going to do it anyway - I don't see why anyone has a problem with heroin addicts doing heroin. I get if it's a family member or something, but the benefit of regulation and legality is that we could impose a tax that would pay for rehabilitation - something else that should really be subsidized for those seeking help with substance abuse.

I don't think that anyone has the right to tell someone else how to live their lives - if they want to shoot up every day, why should I tell them it's a waste of time for them? If they can't afford their habits and commit crimes, we should arrest them for those crimes - not for the drugs.
