I get 99 percent of my makeup and skincare from boxycharm. I just get the lowest level box most months ($25) and the luxe upgrade that happens every 3 months. Before I switched I had the ipsy glam bag, but I got tired of mostly sample size things and I didn't want their version of the full size product box.

If it fits your budget I honestly have enjoyed getting a subscription box with makeup and skincare products (and there are tons of options for sub boxes). Not everything has been great but I've found some things I really like and I get to experiment with things without having to just go buy stuff. I get overwhelmed trying to figure out what to buy so it's worked well for me.

I also watch a lot of makeup videos on YouTube, especially if I'm looking for inspiration. I like bold eye looks. There seem to be a lot of beginner friendly tutorials on there as well which may be helpful.
