Brave victim of revenge porn becomes activist, fights for justice, and publishes her own nudes on her own terms. Very Badass!

I actually think it's a very rational decision. The only reason revenge porn hurts people is because women showing their naked bodies is seen as a perverted thing by most of society, something that we should judge them as lesser for and something that they should be shamed for deciding to do on their own (think of all the disrespect porn stars get).

Think about it. There's no shortage of porn done by consent on the internet. The only reason revenge porn is so popular is because they know the woman doesn't want them to see it.

So when a woman decides to stop being embarrassed and flaunt her sexuality with full force, the people who would condemn her lose their power over her. She's not the first person to do this either, look at Kiera Knightley, who didn't have any nudes released of herself but was doing it in honour of the women who had, to show them it didn't really have to have a negative impact on their lives. A movement has been started and once enough people take it up it's not going to matter if someone decides to release someone's nudes, because the naked female body will no longer be seen as some kind of ultimate secret to be ashamed of.

There will always be people taking nude pictures or revealing pictures, with or without consent, there will always be people recording sex videos, secretly or with consent. Honestly if anyone wants to fight how things are it's pretty much the only rational thing to do.

Maybe you should examine why everything about this situation makes you so upset. The girls releasing photos of themselves are happy about it and better off for it, and the girls who are too shy to do it themselves are gaining self acceptance from it. So why does it make you so upset that she's not simply staying embarrassed and dwelling on something she really shouldn't be embarrassed about in the first place?
