Sorry but this just isn't true. It would make a very slight difference. It would not do anything even close to "wonders." Animal agriculture is responsible for only 13-18 percent of greenhouse gas emissions globally. In the US, it is only 3%. Eliminating that would do almost nothing to alleviate this crisis. Eating a plant based diet might do something for your health or your conscience, but if you buy your meat locally and don't eat beef 7 days a week, your environmental impact from diet will be minimal compared to almost everything else you operate and purchase.

There is ultimately nothing individual consumers can do to solve this, other than vote for politicians who support a carbon tax, and donate to organizations that advocate for one. We need legislation. We need a carbon tax, and we need it as soon as possible.
