Brazil election: Lula and Bolsonaro head to runoff

People also underestimate just how close the election was. Biden absolutely demolished Trump in the popular vote, but popular vote is irrelevant. Biden only won by a few tens of thousands of votes in three states.

Biden won Georgia's 16 EC votes by a mere 11,779 votes. He won Arizona's 11 EC votes by a mere 10,457 votes. And he won Wisconsin's 10 EC votes by a mere 20,682 votes.

If half of those ~43,000 people voted the other way, or all of them just didn't vote... Those 37 EC votes would have gone to Trump and the EC would have been tied at 269 to 269, at which point the House of Representatives would have determined the winner of the election, and Republicans controlled the House in 2020.
