Break apart your characters/sceneries

A short guide with an example:

1. a)Write a brief visual description of your character

Moonchild is a short girl with androgynous, petite frame, flat chest and short red hair stylized into a bobcut. Superhero costume worn by her on missions is composed of a featureless chromed mask, a purple armored vest and a purple utility belt with pockets spread out like a miniskirt worn over a skintight blue and white bodysuit with circuit-like fluorescent lines.

b) or post their picture.

Moonchild looks like this.

2. List the characteristic elements of the character design and tell us what they mean about character.

  • Featureless chromed mask - Signifies Moonchild's faceblindness and her fear of strangers. She attempts to accept, face and embrace her fear by becoming it's embodiment - a faceless, unfamiliar wraith that befalls on villains.
  • Androgynous silhouette - A reference to her ability to interlink two opposite energy processes and the plan of Aiwass to turn her into angel/Philosopher's Stone. In most of Christian lore angels are depicted as genderless or having qualities of both male and female, while the end product of the alchemical great work is known as 'rebis' and is described as a being of both male and female qualities.
  • Utility miniskirt - Even though on a first glance Moonchild may give a a cold and exclusive feel, her true nature is still helplessly girlish, what is emphasised by this feminine accent in otherwise gender neutral costume.
  • Bulletproof vest - Symbolizes her distrust towards the world. Even though Moonchild can take nukes on the chin without even flinching and a bulletproof vest wouldn't be provide more defense than a paper against opponents she usually faces, it gives her illusory mental comfort and a feeling of safety.
  • Blue and purple colour theme - Blue is the colour of harmony, while purple symbolizes transformation. It's a reference to both her power (energy conversion and ensuant invulnerability) as well as her paradoxical personality - the more emotional she gets, the more composed she looks, while most of the time when she shows emotions, it is planned beforehand.

You are not limited to characters and can make a comment about analysis of one of characteristic places or objects from your world instead.
