Breaking Bad fans who watched the show at a later time, who/what/etc makes you want to start watching it?

I watched the first season in like 2009 and thought it was good but not great. I think it was 2009, the third season was running at the time I think.

Spoilers ahead

I thought it was good but I found the slow pace a little too much. Scenes like the sandwich making one just seemed a little too drawn out, etc. and I think I watched up to the episode before they go to the junkyard to meet Tuco. I thought the scene where Walter kills krazy 8 (or was it emilio?) was fairly well done, and I thought the episode where jesse was trying to get HF and used the bathtub was hilarious. but I just thought the show was too slow.

then a few years later every damn person I know is staying up real fucking late (I live in the UK) to catch the latest episodes live, people are hyping the show like nothing else (I think this was season 5 airing time) and talking about "Gus" and "Saul" and how Skyler gets in on the whole thing (which always seemed like the natural direction). I delayed watching it fully until about a month ago and couldn't be bothered going through the slow first season again (remember I never saw the episode where they go to the junkyard with Tuco) so I was really shocked at the start of the second season. Like others I was a little put off by how much people have gushed over it "best tv show of all time" etc.

I really enjoyed season 2, but I'd say the point where I started to think "This show is more than great it's amazing" was in Season 3 "Half Measure" during that "business meeting" in Gus' farm office with the dealers. I thought "that's the best episode of the season, for sure" and then i watched "Full Measure" and jesus how did that manage to top Half Measure I don't know.

The next season where Victor and Mike have Walter and Jesse in the lab waiting for Gus. Then Gus enters and Walter talks for a while. it's 10 minutes of Gus putting on his suit, walking around, killing victor then leaving in silence. That whole scene was insane.

That's roughly where I'm up to now
