BREAKING: BBC interviews 2 gamers, neither transphobic. Transphobes riot.

A reminder that JK Rowling once made an official complaint about a Radio 4 programme where people discussed the concept of separating the art from the artist, using her as an example and referring to her opinions as "unpopular". She made two complaints, the first being that it was factually untrue that her opinions were unpopular and the second for even mentioning her name on the programme in the first place.

The BBC agreed with one of the complaints, that their presenter was wrong to call her opinions "unpopular". The presenter made an official apology soon after.

This is also a reminder that JK Rowling is not a fan of cancelling or censoring people for their opinions and, being a victim of such horrible treatment herself, would NEVER demand that others have their views removed simply for being different. Not that her views are different of course, everyone agrees with her, she's just so damn benevolent she even cares about unpopular people having freedom of speech too. She also has no problem with her views being discussed, she just doesn't like the tone and the nastiness of people on Twitter and would rather her views were discussed in a civilised and nuanced manner. Somewhere calm and highbrow, like a Radio 4 programme perhaps.
