Breaking: Impact switch back to a four sided ring.

Rings are just wood with a thin layer of foam+pad.

The give is from the wood over the metal support. A standard ring has big open squares and can have a fair bit of that give, the six-sided ring needs a different kind of metal support.

The farther you are from the metal supports the more give, and obviously right on top of the support there is very little give. Normal square rings have big square supports and big openings for give, the old six-sider had triangle supports and so the sweet spot of most give was stiffer and there were less of them.

The new six sider design didn't have springs or anything, they just gave bigger spacings for the wood and had a bit more foam.
