BREAKING: MoveOn.Org Protests Called For Thursday, November 8, 5PM Local Time

Because nothing has ended you dunce. I mean, are we heading down that path? Yes. Have we been heading down this path for a while? Yes. Are we closer than we were yesterday? Yes. But if you want a successful movement, you can't half ass it. I hope I can eat my words tomorrow, but reddit has this absurd sense of self importance and often makes the mistake of assuming that more people are in agreement with them than there really are. If I hadn't gotten on my phone and opened the reddit app and gone to /r/all I wouldn't have even known this protest was happening. This is not well organized or well advertised, and that is never a good sign for protests. Even if we have 50 people here, 100 there, even 200. It is meaningless. A protest hoping to accomplish what this one is requires thousands upon thousands to make a difference. Is that right? Probably not, but it's the world we live in. Also, what is protesting for one day supposed to do? People don't care. People don't want to protest. Protests make a difference when hundreds of thousands are willing to stick it out no matter the consequences. I'm sure the vast majority of the small minority going to protest will end the night and go back to work the next day like nothing happened. That's pointless and accomplishes nothing.
