Breaking911: BREAKING: 24-year-old Alyssa Shepherd, who police say was driving a pick-up truck that struck several children in Fulton County, Indiana as they got on their school bus this morning, killing 3 of them, has been charged with reckless homicide - WTHR

This was a tragedy for all involved, and all are in my thoughts. That said, I'm bewildered about a piece of relevant information that is now nowhere to be found? Shortly after this incident, I definitely recall reading a news article (not even sure of the source, but it was on a reputable site). The article claimed that Shepherd said that her father or father-in-law was at the ER with chest pains, and she wanted to get to him quickly. Because of that, she dropped her husband off at work (which wasn't routine) and then was to drop her kids and her brother off at her mom's to get ready for school, because she was in a hurry to get to her father (or father-in-law, someone's father) at the ER and didn't want the kids to see it and be upset...? Does any of this sound familiar to anyone else?? I can't find this article anywhere on the internet, now. It disappeared, Google brings up nothing, and none of the news articles include any of that information. I'm a bit confuzzled. I rarely read the news (too disturbing 99% of the time) but it seems to me that might be pretty important with regard to distraction of the driver. I don't think I'm misremembering...just REALLY confused about where the article went. Perhaps it was a false story and was removed? I have no idea, but I know what I read.
