Breathe...

Here is the deal with "enlightenment." Most people aren't seeking "enlightenment" so much as they're looking for a sensible reasoning to apply to their life that keeps them content and at peace with it.

If you look at enough sources of this "enlightenment", you will eventually come to the realization that you can poke holes in the logic of someone you previously thought was incorruptible. You'll realize that most people's "enlightenment" is really a self-delusion that makes personal sense and keeps them on course, or feeling on course.

Its all a personal journey about adopting what makes sense to us, and disregarding all else. Eckhart Tolle is some people's mentor, while also considered an overly spiritual loon by others. Still, you might find a few grains of your own truth in what he says.

So I guess I am saying is that most of this enlightenment crap is self-deluded horse shit, until you find something that resonates with you. Similarly, that stuff you consider horse shit resonates with someone else. It is all personal.

That said, I find this post to be horse shit because if you determine the whole day to be bad, that is the paradigm you're commencing with. "Zen" should probably be unattached to the outcomes of past or future events and just experience them without one's perspective leaking into the other.

Much Chi,
