I think Brian Burns is now my favorite realistic target at 17

Have you watched the Browns' linebackers this year? All of them are mediocre at best.

Schobert is a pro bowl player and one of the top MLBs by many metrics

Schobert is a pro bowl player just like Tyrod Taylor is a pro bowl player. What does Schobert do at an above average level other than cover RBs and his trademarked football IQ? Schobert is wildly overrated by PFF and I have no idea how anyone can think he's a top MLB if they actually watch him play. Schobert is decent, but I could never mistake him with a top MIKE or even a good MIKE linebacker. He's serviceable or decent, but nothing special or pro bowl caliber anymore. Joe Schobert is more of a good WILL that just happens to be a serviceable MIKE.

Collins is absolutely a starter if he has the motivation.

Problem is, he doesn't have the motivation. Jamie Collins is talented but his effort is terrible and he's usually caught being out of position to make a play. If Gregg Williams couldn't motivate Collins, I doubt Wilks will be able to. Collins is probably gone once the new league year starts or after the final roster cuts in September.

Avery is one year in and had a great rookie season.

Avery is more of a stand up DE than a real linebacker considering he's our second best pass rusher other than Myles. Avery had a great year as a pass rusher, but not as a linebacker.

kirksey is absolutely a starter on most teams.

Just because someone is a starter doesn't mean they're good; see: Bortles, Blake or Kirksey, Christian. Kirksey hasn't been good all year long and will be coming back from a season ending injury. I doubt Kirksey will even be on the roster in two or three years since he's declining and his contract is overpaying him.

Don't look at the box score, PFF grades, and stats; actually watch the games and you'll see our linebackers aren't very good and they were abused whenever they had to move sideline-to-sideline and trust their eyes and instincts. Linebacker is absolutely a need on this team and Devin White would fix a lot of our problems imo if we start him at MIKE. Our WILL is starting at MIKE because we have no better option and our SAM is overpaid and doesn't give a shit anymore. Our linebacker room is a mess that needs a complete makeover if we want to compete for the AFC North division title. The excuses people on this sub make for our shitty linebacker corps is ridiculous.
