I miss my grandparents a lot... Well, specifically my paternal grandma Patty (died when I was 21) and my great grandma on my mom's side, Sammy (died when I was 18). They were actually friends with each other. Grandma Patty was one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. She was very poor but she always shared what little she had, and she was really happy to have a grand daughter because she had 3 sons. She had a really rare disease that caught us all off guard, so I was really taken aback when she passed away. And my grandma Sammy was... Still not that old (in her 70s) so I stupidly thought I had more time with her. It sucks. She was very funny and vulgar, and so tough. She had been through a lot in life between her abusive ex-husband, 6 miscarriages and her abusive older brothers, and that's really only the tip of the iceberg. And despite how shitty her life had been she was just always joking around and preferred to see the good in life. She even played video games with me when I was a little kid. I wish I could tell her I was sorry for being a brat and that I love her.
