Bridging Ireland's Urban-Rural Divide.

The other guy who brought up the person from Kildare as a "self hating culchie". i.e. someone from Kildare is also a culchie.

Culchie means one thing, across the board. It isn’t regionally specific in meaning to any area in Ireland.

I was born and raised in Dublin, I moved to Maynooth for university, all of my friends started joking that I was a culchie now. Maybe you're just old? But ever since I was young "culchie" has meant non Dub.

The fact you think a culchie is “everyone born outside Dublin” as if you are in some exclusive club to the rest of the country is wonderfully illustrating the point being made.

Jesus, it's a bit of light hearted ribbing lmao you don't have to cry about it.
