Just adapt Ennis’ MAX properly please. You can play around the gratuitous violence, you can omit a lot of the sexual content, but the story is right there. I think the character study of a man that chose war over everything else is far more interesting than teamups and further trying to politicize the character. I’m sick of the crazies adopting the image, and I’m tired of the response being “well, now we have to have Frank at war with cops to prove a point” We already did that in Jason Aaron’s run. (One of the first comments in my history goes deeper into this issue if you’re curious)

I’m not trying to be a cool, hip, contrarian but there was a lot more substance to MAX beyond the violence, in fact I’d say the violence is the least interesting part of the story. It deserves a another go by a team that honestly gives a shit.
