Bringing the Drama to the Vets office

My vet's office had a hand in creating their own monster.

When my little poodle mix was a tiny puppy, he had some reactions to vaccines, so the vet would keep him for a few hours after every shot. He was unhappy about being left alone in the recovery kennel and while he's usually pretty quiet, when he wants to be heard he's got a high pitched, ear-shattering bark. He'd settle down when someone was holding him and he was really small, so the vet staff just started zipping him up into their sweatshirts and carrying him around like a little prince to keep him quiet.

Now I have a dog who loves to go to the vet but has a totally out of control ego, and he's deeply offended if they don't carry him around the whole time he's there.
