A British agency employee refused to use transgender clients' pronouns because he said it violated his Christian beliefs. A tribunal said his stance was “incompatible with human dignity.”

It’s because as long as what I call you is not threatening or have a negative connotation behind it, such as referring to someone as an asshole, then it gets the job done. If I am going to interact with you for an extended period of time, like a repeated customer, then sure I might use your preferred pronoun because it will build a better business relationship. But adjusting my speech patterns for someone that I am only ever going to interact with once is more hassle than it’s worth. Not to mention the fact that you’re trying to censor me.

And you can think I’m an asshole all you want, but it won’t change anything because I can’t tell you how to feel.
