British Gas outdid themselves with this letter they sent me.

I genuinely think most people, myself included, downvotes comments like that because they add absolutely nothing to the conversation. I also hate posts that say "this" with an absolute passion.

I'm happy that one person found value in the post, but equally I don't care. It brings nothing to the conversation, I don't particularly care about the opinion of a user I'm unlikely to notice twice on a post I'm unlikely to look at twice. Just seems like a waste of time all round.

The thing is though, it's all a bit hypocritical isn't it. Because this very post has absolutely fuck all to do with the OP and contributes nothing to that. So rightfully I should downvote myself.
