As Centrica don’t set the prices for the oil and gas they dig up and sell, its not really their doing. Its naff all to do with centrica profiteering, or the tories or some sort of evil overloads trying to milk the poor. Its the global market. It supply and demand. Every energy supplier is making big buck because the demand was high, supply was low and prices went up. And now they’ve come back down. These companies have no say in how much they sell their product for. I get that its shit and we are all suffering, but im not sure people grasp how the global market works. What would be better would be fixing the internal UK market for example so rates of electric differ depending on source as currently low carbon is charged at the same price as gas produced.
