British national > Canada, Australia or USA. NO JOB REQUIRED.

Okay, thanks for your response. I suppose I could just be a tourist every three months and technically live in the UK. But that's more hassle in the long-run, I thing.

If you are paying a net zero amount or a little bit of tax to Aus government, you have to admit that you're not really very good value to them. Also, I don't know if you could be a RN employee and be a resident of an overseas country, you would have to make enquiries on that as well as if the tax can be paid in another country, but I'm fairly sure you can't do that in ARN or NZRN. I highly doubt either scenario would be possible.

I'm not in the RN. I'm a civilian, I have considered taking my skills to the ARN (or CRN, but obviously not USN) as they are transferable and in demand.

I have a feeling that you have to be a citizen though

Looked into it, for Australia I have to be 'willing and able' to acquire Australian citizenship within 6 months of starting service.

I wouldn't be paying taxes in the UK at all. Already, because of my job, I get all my tax refunded to me as I'm out the country more than 6 months a year.
