Do British People Actually Hate Lewis Hamilton Because He's Black?

I'm not so sure about the overgeneralisation that Button is more loved by British F1 fans and that he gets more cheers at Silverstone. Vice actually just made that last part up because Silverstone was pretty much Hamilton mania this year as was to an extent the reception he got around the world even including from the Tifosi. As for the anti-Hamilton brigade, Vice has mistaken a global phenomenon for something they see as just a British issue. Lewis has a massive fanbase but the haters come from all over the place which just adds to giving the UK section a bigger voice. There are plenty of Hamilton haters in the UK though that's for sure but they ain't all Button fans. A lot of them are supporters of foreign drivers like Alonso or Vettel. I think that's an interesting issue that needs discussing. If this was football, fans would never cheer for Germany or Spain to beat England in the world cup yet in f1 they are given a pass to wave foreign flags and and turn against their fellow countrymen. There's nothing wrong with appreciating talent or ability from around the world but to completely turn against a British representative who is rightfully judged as one of the elite is quite frankly just bizarre. Is it a race issue? Yeah pretty much. Certain people who have accepted blacks in other sports have for whatever reason not been willing to take the same approach in what was seen as a white dominated sport until Lewis came onto the scene. Usually the personality flaws that british stars have will be ignored and they will still be accepted but not with Hamilton. People attack his personality and completely dismiss his talent but he still wins though. He stands amongst the British greats now and has an opportunity to surpass even Jackie Stewart if he bags another title though has already done so in the race wins category. Bet the haters love that. HeHeHe!
